Double page spread
For my first draft i tried to continue the colour scheme of black, white and brown, making sure that my page linked with my front cover.
Final Front cover
For my final design i decided to change the Main image, as it was blocking a large proportion of the Masthead and made it difficult to fit in the text appropriately. after doing this i felt that i had enough room to stretch the text out across the top of the cover, allowing the reader to see clearly what is being featured in the magazine.

Front Cover draft 3
in this draft i decided to use the same image again, and instead move the text around, filling up space on the magazine, making it look complete. i continued with the brown, black and white colour scheme, linking the colours with the clothing on the models. however i change the image of 'All time low' on the bottom left as i felt that the colour yellow displayed in the lat image, was to bold on the magazine and pulled your eyes away from the main feature of the magazine.

2nd draft of Front Cover
in my second draft, i created a whole new style for the magazine, changing the colour scheme and the main image. originally i used an image of a woman artist, as this was a photo i took in the practise shoot. however, since then i had been able to arrange a proper shoot, taking place with three models posing to be a band called 'Anarchy'. when in this photo shoot i struggled in sorting out an appropriate wardrobe choice for the models as i had limited supplies. this lead to to me having to change font styles, colour and layout to accommodate for the different colours included in the image. it also made it difficult to give the magazine the appropriate appearance for the chosen genre.
after creating this draft i also realised that i had left quite a few gaps around the image, leaving the magazine looking unfinished and incomplete. i also left the price off the magazine which would be an essential feature when developing a product. i feel that this draft isn't a great interpretation of an Indie Rock magazine and could use some improvements.

Final contents design
For my final draft of the contents page, i didnt change my design majorly. once again i kept the colour scheme of black and white and the same layout, however i decided to use the banner at the top to repeatedly say 'Contents Page'. i did this as i thought that it would resemble as police 'DO NOT CROSS' banner, something that would suit my genre of music, as it represents being rebellious and breaking rules.

1st and 2nd draft of contents page
When i first started development on my contents page, i decided that this was going to be my chosen image for the cover, i decided this as it was one of the members of the band being shown in the double page spread, suited the theme of Indie rock and gave me a good outline to work my text around. my first draft to the left allowed me to start development on the text and colour scheme. i decided that for the contents page i was going for the black and white look, as it not only goes with my front cover colour scheme, but it also sets itself apart so that it clearly shows it links with the rest of the magazine.
in my second draft to the right, i have continued with the black and white colour scheme and a similar layout, however i didn't like the Contents page bar at the top left. i felt as though not only did it look slightly out of place, but it left huge gaps in the background. this gave me the idea to cover almost all of the space above the models head with a banner.

Feedback - front cover draft 1
- Upper left corner of the magazine is a bit bare- Add either another cover line or an image.
- Make cover lines stand out more - Bolder text and brighter colours can be used to make text more eye catching
- Main image- Haven’t mentioned who the character on the front page (include their name in a large type)
- Fill the spare spaces on the magazine so that it is less bare.

Contents Page outline. (Structure)
By creating this contents page outline, i am able to develop a more structured piece of work that is planned out properly. i chose this layout after having researched into the many other layouts used for contents pages. i decided that this gave the magazine an open look to it, instead of having everything crowded on one page. by using only one image, i can link all three articles of work together as the contents main image will include the Artist/Group that is featuring for the double page spread, as the front cover does.
